MT. ALBERT SCALE MODELS
ANNOUNCES NEW CRAFTSMAN KIT
Mt. Albert Scale Models,
a subsidiary of Mt. Albert Scale Lumber, has announced the third in a
series of limited edition craftsman kits in O Scale, 1:48. The kit is
the Engine Service Facility.
The new kit was
designed by Roger Malinowski, well known and respected for his line of
craftsman kits under the name Stoney Creek Designs. Roger also provided
the hand made original masters and laser cutting services for the new
kit.
The Mt. Albert Engine
Service Facility features five complete structures: a Fuel Bunker using
a Shay bunker for storage, a Coal Bucket Loader, an Elevated Oil Tank, a
Sand Tower and a wooden Water Tank. The components feature laser cut
sheetwood and plywood, board-by-board construction, cast resin detail
parts from Schomberg Scale Models, cast metal detail parts from Banta
Modelworks and Wiseman Model Services, and full size architectural
drawings.
The kit also features a
CD-ROM with step by step instructions and full-color photographs of the
entire construction process for each building.
All the basswood is from
Mt. Albert Scale Lumber, the industry leader in precision basswood
stripwood and sheets.
This kit is a limited
run of 200 kits. The retail price is $200.00 US. It is available only

San Juan Car Co. is pleased to
announce the next ready to Run Car in our On3 and On30 line, D&RGW 34’ Stock
Car.
There will be nine different car
numbers pre 40’s, post 40’s and painted with no lettering. Magnetic couplers and
weathered roof. These are assembled scale models with On3/On30 trucks, full
underbody detail, grab iron, truss rods, and insulated metal wheels.
Available Fall 2008. Very small run.
We will be taking orders only until February 1st, 2008. Please
be sure to place orders early to ensure you get your models.

Foothill Model Works has produced injected link and pin couplers.
Inspired by the West Side Lumber Company, these link and pin
couplers are designed to fit on any car designed to use Kadee® No. 26 couplers.
These couplers will take advantage of Kadee®'s standard box and spring to steady
them in operation and to keep the head centered on the end of the car. The
shanks have been thickened for a more scale look, but are easily modified for
tight fits. They're even cast in styrene so paint will stick!
